Posted by FlipjeTiel on 2018-10-05.
after a disappointing Champions League week for the English clubs with only Manchester City winning their game, while Tottenham and Liverpool lost and Manchester United drew, and a very good Europa League week with both Arsenal and Chelsea winning, we are back for Gameweek 8.
Last week the Export's predictions resulted in two correct scores, only missing out on West Ham's win against Manchester United. This week he will pick another three games before we are headed to a second international break. Don't forget to fill in your own Prediction on the website. Predict matches, win batches!
Brighton & Hove Albion - West Ham United
This week the Premier League starts early with a Friday evening match between The Seagulls and The Hammers. Last season Brighton won both confrontations and scored six goals in those games. Veteran striker Glenn Murray was responsible for three of those goals and has already found his form early this season bagging four goals in seven games. West Ham are improving rapidly with seven points from their last three games after losing their first four.
We Prediction 1-2
Tottenham Hotspur - Cardiff City
Together with Fulham and Huddersfield, Cardiff City has the worst defence in the league with sixteen goals conceded and will be going to Wembley on Saturday facing a Spurs' side who have scored in every game they played so far this season. The last three seasons Spurs only conceded one goal against promoted teams at home while winning all nine games.
We Prediction 3-0
Liverpool - Manchester City
The last of match of the gameweek will be the game everybody is waiting for between title contenders Liverpool and Man City. While both played midweek in the Champions League, City will be having one day of extra rest as they played on Tuesday. The last ten seasons the teams have met 25 times, of which only seven times it resulted in a low scoring game. Last season's game at Anfield Liverpool ended City's unbeaten Premier League streak with an entertaining 4-3 win. Suprisingly, Sergio Aguero has never scored at Anfield both as a City and Atletico Madrid player. City also haven't won at Anfield since 2003.
We Prediction 2-1
