Gameweek 6 is only a day away for the Premier League (while the Dutch Eredivisie starts tonight) and it will be interesting to see how well the clubs recovered from the start of the European season with the Champions League and the Europa League having kicked off this week. The Uefa has even announced that it will introduce a third European league in 2021, while Barcelona is going to play league games in the US. It seems that more football is coming our way and it will be interesting to see the impact on the regular leagues.
Good luck this week. Our Expert is here to help you out again. Don't forget to fill in your own predictions.
Fulham – Watford
Watford’s winning streak came to an end last week at the hands of Manchester United, This weekend a short trip to London is on the agenda against Fulham. The last time these teams met at Craven Cottage (December 2014), Fulham’s goalkeeper Bettinelli got sent off while Troy Deeney bagged a hattrick in a 0-5 loss for Fulham. Last season Watford lost all five away matches against London opponents.
We Prediction: 1-1
Crystal Palace – Newcastle United
Newcastle’s upcoming fixtures are looking a little bit better after losing all games against four of the top six in their opening five fixtures with a 2-1 scoreline. Crystal Palace’s matches this season on the other hand are mostly low scoring games averaging only two goals per game for the spectators. Palace's attack rely heavily on Wilfried Zaha, who scored three of their four Premier League goals this season.
We Prediction: 1-1
Arsenal – Everton
Arsenal won convincingly in the Europa League midweek but failed to keep a clean sheet again. Both Arsenal and Everton have yet to register a clean sheet this season, while the Toffees haven’t won an away game against the Gunners since January 1996. The return of their topscorer Richarlison after a three game ban will give Everton the needed goal threat, especially with out-of-form striker Tosun still goalless after five matches.
We Prediction 3-2
